KILL me IF I didn't have fun

Kilifi! Where do I start?
The very thing that fascinated me about this land is its rich architectural buildings, mainly inspired by Arabic architecture. As I walked in the streets of Kilifi I could clearly see that it's first of all a very ancient town, it is peaceful and of course there is never hurry in the coastal areas {of Kenya that is}. The town is scarcely populated; making it very suitable for a tourist who loves their space and privacy.

I also noticed that the Baobab tree naturally grows in the area. Baobab seeds commonly called 'mabuyu' are a common delicacy in Kilifi. When harvested and prepared, they come in variety of colors: red, blue, yellow, green.. mention it. The white part of the coconut is crushed, boiled and left to solidify so that it forms a hard crunchy snack called 'kashata'.

The county government of Kilifi has ensured that citizens have litter bins in every corner of the place. Not only do they have litter bins, but they have also separated the waste into papers, plastic and food waste. How astounding that is?
I could not help but wonder how Nairobi city would look like if the same was imposed. A challenge was posed to me after seeing this small, remote town having stern measures on environment conservation. It is a no wonder it is so green and looks sustainable. Feel inspired to separate your waste.
